Über mich
Martin Andersson ist Jazzpianist, Multiinstrumentalist, Opernregisseur, Videokünstler, Dokumentarfilmer und Naturwissenschaftler. Mit fünf Jahren lernte er das Geigenspiel, mit sechs wechselte er zum Klavier. Ursprünglich in klassischer Musik unterrichtet interessierte er sich seit seiner frühen Kindheit für die improvisierte Musik, namentlich den Jazz. Seine Liebe zu lateinamerikanischer Musik führte ihn zunächst nach Brasilien, später nach Kuba, wo er an der Kunsthochschule Musik studierte. M.A. bereiste zahlreiche Länder und trat in verschiedenen Formationen weltweit auf. Er inszenierte mehrere Opern und zeichnet als Künstler für zahlreiche Video- und Klanginstallationen verantwortlich, u.a. für die tschechische Nationalgalerie in Prag, verschiedene Opernhäuser in Deutschland, Frankreich und Österreich, die Malzfabrik in Berlin, das Zürcher Theaterspektakel etc.
